1. Who We Are and How to Contact Us

The data controller responsible for your personal information

This Privacy Policy is issued by Betropes ("we", "us", "our"), the operator of the online gaming and betting platform accessible at betropes.com. For the purposes of data protection law, Betropes is the data controller — meaning we are responsible for deciding how and why your personal data is processed.

We take our responsibilities as a data controller seriously. If you have any questions about this Privacy Policy, want to exercise any of your data rights, or have a concern about how we handle your personal information, please contact our Data Protection team at privacy@betropes.com. We aim to respond to all privacy queries within five working days.

3. How We Collect Your Data

The methods through which Betropes receives personal information about you

Betropes collects your personal data through the following channels:

  • Directly from you: When you register an account, complete identity verification, make a deposit or withdrawal, contact customer support, or respond to a survey or promotion.
  • Automatically as you use the platform: Through server logs, cookies, and tracking technologies that capture your device details, IP address, and platform usage patterns as you browse or play. See Section 7 for more detail on cookies.
  • From payment service providers: When you initiate a deposit or withdrawal, the relevant payment provider (Easypaisa, JazzCash, NayaPay, your bank) confirms transaction details to Betropes as part of processing.
  • From identity verification services: Where we use third-party KYC (Know Your Customer) providers to verify your identity, those providers may share verification outcomes and data with us.
  • From fraud prevention services: We use third-party fraud detection tools that analyse patterns in transaction and usage data and share risk assessments with us.

5. Legal Basis for Processing

The lawful grounds on which Betropes relies to process your data

Betropes processes your personal data only where we have a valid legal basis for doing so. The legal bases we rely on are:

  • Contractual necessity: Processing required to fulfil our contract with you — creating your account, processing transactions, delivering game services, and providing customer support. Without this processing, we cannot provide the service.
  • Legal obligation: Processing required to comply with applicable laws — including Anti-Money Laundering (AML) requirements, Know Your Customer (KYC) regulations, and tax reporting obligations. This processing is mandatory and cannot be opted out of while you hold an active Betropes account.
  • Legitimate interests: Processing we carry out based on our legitimate business interests, where those interests are not overridden by your fundamental rights. This includes fraud prevention, platform security, responsible gaming monitoring, and platform analytics and improvement.
  • Consent: For optional processing — such as sending you marketing communications or promotional offers — we rely on your explicit consent. You can withdraw this consent at any time without affecting your account or any other processing.

6. Who We Share Your Data With

The third parties that may receive your personal information and why

Betropes does not sell your personal data to any third party. We do not share your data with advertisers or data brokers. The only third parties we share your data with are service providers necessary to operate the platform and authorities required by law:

  • Payment service providers (Easypaisa, JazzCash, NayaPay, SadaPay, banking partners, and card processing partners): We share the minimum data necessary to process your transactions securely. These providers are bound by their own data protection obligations and may not use your data for any other purpose.
  • Identity verification and KYC providers: Third-party services that verify the documents you submit during account verification. They receive only the documents and data necessary for verification and are contractually bound to use it only for that purpose.
  • Fraud detection and security services: Third-party tools that help us identify fraudulent account activity, collusion, or money laundering patterns. These services analyse anonymised or pseudonymised data in most cases.
  • Customer support platform providers: We use a third-party live chat and ticketing system to manage customer support. Support conversations are stored on that platform under a data processing agreement with Betropes.
  • Regulatory and law enforcement authorities: Where required by applicable law or a valid regulatory order, we will disclose personal data to the relevant authority. We will inform you of such disclosures where we are legally permitted to do so.
  • Potential business successors: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of the business, your personal data may be transferred as part of that transaction. You will be notified before any such transfer takes effect.

All third-party service providers used by Betropes are required to sign data processing agreements that bind them to data protection standards consistent with this Privacy Policy. We do not engage service providers who do not meet these standards.

7. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

How Betropes uses cookies and what choices you have

Betropes uses cookies and similar tracking technologies to operate the platform, remember your preferences, and understand how the site is used. Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit the website.

We use the following types of cookies:

  • Strictly necessary cookies: These are essential to the operation of the platform — session management, login state, and security tokens. The platform cannot function without them. These cookies do not require your consent.
  • Functional cookies: These remember your preferences — language settings, preferred display options, and similar personalisation. They improve your experience but are not strictly required.
  • Analytics cookies: These help us understand how users interact with the platform — which pages are most visited, where users drop off in a flow, and how different features perform. The data is aggregated and does not identify you individually.
  • Security cookies: These are used to detect and prevent fraudulent activity, including cross-site request forgery (CSRF) protection and device fingerprinting for fraud detection.

You can manage cookie preferences through your browser settings. Disabling non-essential cookies will not prevent you from using the core features of the Betropes platform, but some personalisation features may not function as expected.

We do not use third-party advertising cookies or allow third-party advertisers to set cookies through the Betropes website.

8. How We Protect Your Data

The technical and organisational measures Betropes uses to keep your data safe

Protecting the personal data of our players is one of the most important responsibilities Betropes holds. We implement multiple layers of technical and organisational security measures including:

  • TLS/SSL encryption: All data transmitted between your device and the Betropes platform is encrypted using current TLS standards, protecting it from interception in transit.
  • Encryption at rest: Personal data stored in our databases is encrypted at rest. Passwords are stored using one-way cryptographic hashing — even Betropes staff cannot retrieve your password.
  • Access controls: Internal access to personal data is restricted to staff who genuinely need it to perform their job functions. All internal access is logged and reviewed periodically.
  • Two-factor authentication: Internal systems are protected by two-factor authentication. Players are encouraged (and in higher-risk scenarios required) to enable two-factor authentication on their Betropes accounts.
  • Regular security reviews: We conduct regular internal security reviews and periodic third-party security audits of the platform and its data handling practices.
  • Data breach response: We maintain an incident response procedure for data breaches. If a breach occurs that is likely to result in risk to your rights, we will notify you within 72 hours of becoming aware of it — or as soon as practically possible given the nature of the incident.

No security system is completely impenetrable. While we take every reasonable precaution, we cannot guarantee absolute security. You can help protect your account by using a strong unique password and enabling two-factor authentication.

9. How Long We Keep Your Data

Data retention periods and what happens when they expire

Betropes retains personal data only for as long as it is needed for the purposes for which it was collected, or as required by applicable law. The following general retention periods apply:

  • Account data (while active): Personal data associated with an active Betropes account is retained for the duration of the account and for a period of five years following account closure, to comply with Anti-Money Laundering (AML) regulations and financial record-keeping requirements.
  • Transaction records: Financial transaction records are retained for a minimum of five years following the date of each transaction, as required by financial regulations applicable to payment processing and AML compliance.
  • Customer support records: Support interaction records are retained for two years following the closure of each support ticket. Records related to formal complaints or disputes are retained for five years.
  • Marketing consent records: Records of your marketing consent or withdrawal of consent are retained for the duration of your account plus two years to demonstrate compliance.
  • Technical logs: Server logs, access logs, and security event logs are retained for twelve months under a rolling retention policy.
  • Identity verification documents: Copies of identity documents submitted for KYC verification are retained for five years following account closure as required by AML regulations.

When data reaches the end of its retention period, it is either securely deleted from all Betropes systems or anonymised so that it can no longer be associated with you as an individual.

11. Children's Privacy

Betropes' absolute prohibition on collecting data from minors

Betropes is strictly an adults-only platform. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under the age of 18. If you are under 18, you must not register an account or use any part of the Betropes platform under any circumstances.

If we become aware — through our age verification processes or otherwise — that personal data has been collected from a person under 18, we will immediately delete that data and permanently close the associated account. All deposits made to an underage account will be returned to the payment source used.

If you believe a minor has registered on Betropes, please contact us immediately at privacy@betropes.com with relevant details and we will investigate and act without delay.

12. Changes to This Privacy Policy

How and when this policy may be updated

  • Update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this policy
  • Notify registered users via email to the address on file
  • Display a prominent notice within the Betropes platform for a reasonable period following the change

Minor updates — such as clarifications, corrections of typographical errors, or administrative changes that do not affect how your data is used — may be made without notification and take effect upon publication.

We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically to stay informed about how Betropes handles your personal data. The current version of the policy is always available at betropes.com/privacy-policy.

Why Your Privacy Is Safe with Betropes

Six concrete reasons Pakistani players trust Betropes with their personal information

End-to-End Encryption

Every piece of data you send to Betropes — your login credentials, payment information, personal details — travels encrypted via TLS. Your data cannot be read by third parties in transit under any normal circumstances.

We Never Sell Your Data

Your personal information is not a product for Betropes. We do not sell player data to advertisers, data brokers, or any third party for their own marketing. The only parties who receive your data are those necessary to operate the platform.

Minimal Data Collection

Betropes collects only what it actually needs. We do not gather data speculatively just because it might be useful one day. If a piece of information is not necessary for your account, a transaction, or a legal obligation, we do not ask for it.

Staff Access Controls

Access to player personal data within Betropes is restricted on a strict need-to-know basis. Staff who do not need access to personal data to perform their job functions simply do not have it. All access is logged and reviewed regularly.

Full Data Rights for You

You can access, correct, export, or request deletion of your personal data at any time. Betropes processes all data rights requests promptly — we do not make it difficult to exercise your rights, and we do not charge fees for standard requests.

Prompt Breach Notification

In the unlikely event of a data breach that poses risk to you, Betropes is committed to notifying affected players promptly — within 72 hours of discovery where possible. We will tell you what happened, what data was involved, and what steps we have taken.

Your Privacy Is Protected. Your Data Is Yours.
